Last weekend I visited the Kalamazoo Air Zoo Museum. It’s a neat place. The only animals I observed were tigers. Actually, I didn’t see the tigers as you have to pay extra for them and I was focused on seeing aviation items. In fact, I’ll just get this over with, I think they should send the tigers back to wherever their natural habitat is and have this just be an aviation museum. I know people dig tigers. I dig tigers. I think it’s a weird bolt-on to an otherwise impressive aviation museum.
Unfortunately, my time limited me to only taking pictures from their east building / hangar. They have this east building and then a main building which houses more aircraft. The east building is neat because it has aircraft in different states of restoration.
I hope to get back soon. Oh, also, they are right next to the Kalamazoo airport and during the summer they have airplane and helicopter rides. Sign me up, yessir, you betcha.
